Uday Patel joined Judge & Priestley in 2010 as a Paralegal. He graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2007 with an an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Law, and then continued his studies at the College of Law and gained a commendation on the Legal Practice Course in 2008.
Since joining the firm Uday has excelled within our Debt Recovery department. He was appointed to Trainee Solicitor in 2011 and then qualified as a Solicitor in 2013. Having shown great enthusiasm for the company and extensive legal knowledge of his practice areas Uday was promoted to Associate in 2016.
Uday acts for a range of clients to include a number of the firm’s local authority, finance, commercial and utility clients and deals with the recovery of a wide range of debt types. Uday has a particular expertise in dealing with general commercial disputes arising from the supply of goods and services, debts regulated by the Consumer Credit Act and disputes relating to the supply and consumption of gas and electricity. In addition, Uday had a substantial portfolio of enforcement work including bankruptcy and liquidation actions and Order for Sale claims for the enforcement of charging orders.
